The Netherlands is Germany’s direct neighbour. Nevertheless, there are many differences. The many canals and the different architecture are external features. I took the opportunity to capture a few beautiful examples on short trips.

In Nijmegen, the bridge „De Oversteek“ is beautifully illuminated from sunset.

I was able to take photos at night in Amsterdam in winter. The many reflections in the canals tempted me to take long exposures.

In Groningen, I photographed the Reitdiephaven harbour. Colourful houses were built here on the city marina in the Scandinavian style.

The architecture in Rotterdam is well worth seeing. The cube houses, various bridges and the cityscape are striking.
